Aug. 1st, 2011 05:30 pmIt's been an eventful few days. Thursday and Friday were spent car shopping with Will - his Charger's expenses were getting to be too much to be worth it. He ended up getting a 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback (black of course :)) Friday... it's a lovely thing, much smaller than the Charger but it's easy enough to get used to.
Friday night Will went out while I stayed home. I was wiped out from the car shopping madness and whatnot. I went to bed early, as I was beginning to feel a bit under the weather.
Saturday I was pretty much outright sick with something. Nothing major but it was still exhausting. Spent most of Saturday in and out of bed. Which frustrated me as there was a lot around the house I wanted to get done. By that night Will started to feel a little off too.
Sunday I felt better enough to get a bit of cleaning done before people came over that night. True Blood was lovely, enjoyed the company while they were there. I stayed up just long enough to see Addison come in.
Today I'm feeling better but still tired. Downing DayQuil and water and hoping for the best. Will's feeling worse I think so he's looking into a doctor's appointment. Part of me is restless and itching to go out tonight but I probably shouldn't. I've done this before, way too many times... I feel sick, get a bit better, get excited about being better, go out and have fun, end up even sicker. So yeah.
So tonight and tomorrow might be good for relaxation. I might get some cleaning done to keep me occupied. Hell, I'll always have a Closet of Doom I could clean and organize :P (problem is the AC doesn't get in there and it's easy for me to overheat in the best of circumstances sooo yeah)
In random news, Sims 3 is confusing me. For the longest time everything was fine and dandy then the CD stopped working that well. I'd put it in, it'd hum for a while, then spit it right back out. Granted it'd work sometimes, but it got to be more and more rare. It was annoying. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. That didn't do anything. I tried fixing the small scratches on the CD. No go. A friend sent a replacement CD that was pretty much brand new and untouched. Flawless. I stick that one in... doesn't work?! WTF? So apparently my computer hates Sims 3. It's fine with Sims Medieval though. Strange. Very strange. And frustrating.
I need to call the VA soon. My provider I had there left so I'll need a new one - and I'm tempted to specifically request "one that gives a shit" :P
Weather's hot here... really hot. We'll have a brief glimmer of "omg it might rain" hope that's squashed within hours. I'm not shocked, though... the winter was somewhat mild, so I figured the summer would kick our asses. Yay for air conditioning?
I'm kind of just blabbering at this point.
