I don't often use an alarm, because if I go to bed at a half-decent hour I'm pretty good about waking up at a reasonably early time. I'm a morning person, we're good at that. But when I DO set an alarm, I like to use this song. Because there's just a place in me that the song wakes up, this wildly confident and dominant place. And that's a hell of a good way to wake up. Sets the tone for the whole day.

(The "good mood song as alarm" trick doesn't work if you're not a morning person, I've heard... it just makes you hate a song you used to love, lol)

Some music is like a drug.

Been listening to this over and over tonight. The way she growls when she says "Oh wait, I don't really care"... awesome. I prefer her old days as Porcelain and the Tramps, but Porcelain Black's style isn't too bad. It's a lot more "pop", and reminds me of an angrier Lady Gaga. But I don't mind that when the mood strikes.

I feel lost in time
but if I wait for direction my lifetime will pass me by
I feel lost in time
I think if live for forever this feeling will never die

Will stayed up late last night setting up my new computer.

Today I'm listening to music... the second the bass hit my bones I nearly cried. I don't think I quite realized how much I emotionally rely on music throughout my daily routine... I had the laptop but its speakers have been acting up (and even when they work they're only barely usable for music... I can't FEEL it like I do with the desktop speakers)

I have my music back. I feel a breath of life again that's been strained for weeks now.

Already I find myself wanting to draw all damn day, something I've not wanted to do a whole lot lately. I want to exercise. I want to dance. I want to get some cleaning done. I want to plan and scheme and plot. I want to write. I want to actually finally live instead of merely surviving day to day in a fog.

'Cause the love that you lost
Wasn't worth what it cost
And in time you'll be glad it's gone

"Tonight, it feels like a good day to die
Tonight, it feels like a good day to rise
Tonight, we live

Tonight, it feels like a good day to fly
Tonight, it feels like the gods are alive
Tonight, we turn, we ascend
We believe our divinity

I will not bow down
I’ll rise through the sun
I’m transcending
I am claiming my throne
We are immortal
We rise from the wraith
We are eternal
You are my blood legion
My faith"

"The Star-Spangled Banner" and "Amazing Grace" in minor.

I... I love these so much.

This song reminds me that I'm a fucking badass and I don't have to put up with a bunch of annoying petty bullshit for the sake of "playing nice".

I like to spend hours on YouTube listening to music and finding things I don't recognize in the suggested videos.

It was pretty hard to resist a band called "Santa Hates You"

They're German and a couple of their videos had me blinking in confusion, but it's mild for German.

But as soon as I saw they had a song called "Pack Your Bags Honey, We're Going To Hell" I was sold.

So yes, enjoying today so far. Ignoring worries, anxieties, doubts, and just soaking in some music.

Apparently I just need to give in and make myself a "marching into battle" playlist. I'm not sure if it'll be the SAME playlist as "work out to this music because I am amped up as all fuck when I hear this", but there'll probably be a lot of crossover.

I love finding good music on accident.

Note: I am normally a bit "meh" on what I've heard from Hollywood Undead but I'm always down for an exception. Even a band/artist I freaking hate might have a good song once in a while. ;)
