So USAA's renter's insurance covered just me and just my stuff. So only the computer part on my PC was covered (and not enough to go past the $250 deductible so fuck that noise) and the rest? The TV, X-Box, blu-ray, etc? All Will's so none of it could be covered.
Goddammit.
And he did call the company that made the awful-fail-surge-protector-of-suck and they wanted a receipt. No luck there so no coverage on anything.
While on the phone with USAA I added Will as a family member so this shit won't happen again.
We're now both in shit moods and I just kind of want to punch things. I'm sick so I'm staying in tonight and tomorrow but Will's going to Pan (though planning on NOT going as often until he can pay off the new electronics and such) and I do hope he goes shooting with friends tomorrow even if he can't afford ammo or gas. Maybe a friend can pick him up and encourage him to shoot... I know it's a good stress reliever in any case.
In the meantime my sore throat is now worse after that phonecall. At least he's on my insurance now and lesson learned but still... frustrating. If I weren't sick I'd ask for company tonight (along with wine and possibly a nice simple cheesecake + strawberry or cherry or raspberry topping and chocolate)... but since I am, I'll hermit and play Sims and such. Can't play Star Wars until the fried PC parts are fixed but whatever.
Meh. I want to kick that storm in the face. I wanted rain, not fried belongings and bad moods! :P
