Yesterday got better. I didn't sleep worth shit and my morning was spent in a godawful headspace. Once Will finally got up for the day he asked if I wanted to go with him to run some errands. Then I realized... you know what? YES. Getting out of the house, even just for errands, is a good idea.

We had a few things to do. First things first, Will needed to see the chiropractor. The chiro is also an old friend of mine so we chatted for a bit and he's gonna help Will with some job leads in the area.

After that we went to the bank to deposit Will's unemployment check. Then since we were in the right part of town I suggested we stop by the comic book shop because I needed some new dice (I've been borrowing Will's dice because I have no earthly idea where my last set went)... I got myself a very pretty new set of dice and also picked up my roommate's Christmas present (it was perfect so why wait until December to buy it?)... Will also picked up some d10s. After this we stopped by the candy shop right next door just because. I didn't get anything and Will just picked up a bottle of cheerwine.

Then we figured, okay, time for the real errands. We stopped by the UPS store to ship back our cable boxes (we canceled the cable - it's a decent way to save money and also we pretty much never watch live TV anymore anyway and every DVR they sent us screwed up the recordings so that was useless too). We also stopped by Sprint to kind of take a look at their phones to see about eventually finally upgrading mine (no rush, mine still works) - Sprint was BUSY! We just browsed and didn't bother with anything more. I have an idea of what I'd LIKE to upgrade to, if it's possible, but goddamn phones are expensive.

Then we went to (ugh) Wal-Mart to pick up some home repair things and some odds and ends needed (ie toothpaste, thermometer, etc) and dinner.

This all helped my mood a LOT. Soon as we got home we started on dinner and Will ran our at-home Pathfinder game. It was a lot of fun.

By the time I was in bed I was exhausted, yet somehow it still took me ages to sleep. I tried out a white noise app on my phone to see how I did with that. It seemed to help, a bit. But I was still wide awake at 5:30 AM and couldn't get back to sleep so I gave up and I'm up now. The effect the errands had is still working, I'm in a decent mood. The things that were bothering me and making me cry yesterday are still there but the pain of it is just an awkward echo.

Today the goal is things at home. Will needs to make some phone calls, then we wanted to start doing things like decorating, putting pictures up, etc... something to make us feel productive, is something we can afford to do, and will make the house feel more like home.
