It sucks that you can't do what you want on your birthday. It sucks that money is tight.
I think that's one of those fine lines between childhood and adulthood. When you're a kid there's always someone to blame (or we think there is). But when you become an adult you realize a lot of things are not someone's fault. When I bitch and complain about X, I often get a "It's not my fault. What do you want me to do about it?" rebuttal. I've learned to specifically point out - I'm not upset or angry at you. I'm upset about the situation. Sometimes situations just fucking suck, not matter how many wonderful well meaning people and deeds you surround yourself with. It's a very important distinction to make to others and to oneself.
