Part of me seriously wants to get off of the pill. NOT to get pregnant, but to maybe search some other non-insane-weight-gain options. My sister suggested Depo, but dunno if the VA covers it. I know they won't do the IUD without me having a kid, so... boo on that.

Date: 2011-08-14 05:30 pm (UTC)Thus far the research has shown it slows down the metabolism to where you might not be able to shed the weight.
Now I have 2 extra cards stacked against me which is thyroid and asthma. So I ballooned pretty fast. I was 175 in 2005 now I'm 215.
Depo's gone up to $110 with no insurance, but it's only 4 times a year.
It really is nice to barely seesaw (I still on occasion do but rarely) and spot the panties maybe twice a year and I can't tell if that's just from rough sex.
I heard this stuff hurt Mel, though. A side effect is leaking calcium from you and apparently it was bit much for Mel. Me, I just increased calcium easily because some many wonderful things have it.
