Can I adopt Betty White as my grandma?

Other people are not you.
This sounds like it should be the most obvious thing in the world, but apparently not. Everyone handles pain differently, whether it's emotional or physical. You might go through a rough time and work through it with minimal effort. But if some one else goes through that same thing, they might have a harder time of it. Stop judging them by what you did. They're not you. They don't handle things the same way you do. And they don't have to! It doesn't make you better than them. Alternately, if they handle something more positively than you do, they're not better than you are either. Just different.
Bleh. I dunno. I've been getting private messages from other artists, calling me a liar and such. Because if they can draw just fine through pain, I should be able to as well so obviously my reasons for "slacking off" are all evil dirty lies and I'm just a lazy quitter etc, I dunno.
It gets tiring. Hell I've caught myself thinking poorly of people going through rough times before because I've been through worse/done better with it. But I try not to EVER voice those awful thoughts because I KNOW I'M WRONG TO THINK THAT.
Hey in case you can't tell, I'm hormonal. :D Ovulating... it's lefty's turn this month and OW. (Yeah, I can feel my ovulation. It's not cool, man. NOT. COOL.)
Okay. In better mood now that I've gotten that off my chest. For the moment, anyway. Watching Daily Show and doodling some comic ideas right now. Soaked in a SUPER hot bath last night to help my hips... they're in more pain right now due to incoming storms. Hot bath = godsend for those moments.
I think I'm going to start doing that whole silly "subject line that has nothing to do with the post" thing I had going for a while. It's fun. Like Tweeting but people actually read what I say.
