Had a VA appointment today. One appt down this week, two to go! Luckily the third is a massage.
Random VA complaint... I hate talking to other VA patients. Not because they're old, and not even (usually) because they're often Christian Conservatives (one prayed out loud about coffee today, it was awkward) but the fucking attitude they pull with me when they find out I'm not a "real" veteran. One today was all "oh, you were hurt in training? Well I was in the real deal"... thank gods I was called back to see the doctor right after that, not sure if I could have hidden the anger very long. My dad was there too but I don't think he noticed the comment. And it WAS a rather quick, seemingly innocent one. But I know the tones and I'm familiar with the attitude so often that I know what they mean when they don't say it in so many words.
Bah.
Tomorrow's appointment determines how close I am to possible hip surgery, so... we'll see.

2- Was the government giving you a paycheck at the time the incident occurred?
3- Did the incident occur while you were performing duties required due to wearing a uniform and being on the government's payroll?
