This ridiculousness might be the last straw. The page is iffy as is, but this is stupid.

HOW the hell can some one look at this picture and not realize "gay" is used as a derogatory term here? It's meant to be MOCKING! NOT gay pride. So many comments defending it all "it just means gay and vampire are alike because gay isn't a choice and Edward didn't have a choice being a vampire" or "gay is meant to be beautiful and happy and loving like him" or "robert pattinson just supports gays that's all"... how stupid can people be?

I think I'll "unlike" the page. Whoever is running it obviously doesn't know what "LGBT News" should be. It's all pictures of hot girls kissing (or just standing near eachother, because they can't possibly be friends or sisters or something? They're fucking because the caption says so?) and they're all "LOVE IS LOVE <3" and nothing else. No substance.

I'm all for lesbians and cute pictures and all ONCE IN A WHILE but I Liked the page for NEWS. I'm a woman into women and also men... they rarely talk bisexuality (and most the comments are "lol bisexuals don't exist" bullshit) and rarely talk about male homosexuality (and when they do it's just the rare pretty-boy-kisses crap), and like most LGBT things the "T" part seems entirely ignored.

I just find the whole thing insane. Whoever is running it is probably really young and browsing tumblr for cutesy gay pictures all day and doesn't actually focus on doing anything (or posting about others doing anything)... if the page were "CUTE LGBT IS CUTE" or something I wouldn't care. But "news"? Come the fuck on. Grow up, whoever is running this. Also for fuck's sake stop being naive... a picture of Edward Cullen with the word "GAY" is NOT PRO-GAY. It's all about stereotyping and mocking. They call Edward gay because he's pretty and sparkles* and NOT because he's, you know, into dudes.

So, yeah. All this rambling is because I'm in a talky mood for the first time in days and I'm stuck alone at home and I'm eager to just... say things. I don't know. Sorry for rambling but hey I was nice and put it under a cut. :P

*Sparkling is stupid but it does not cause a sudden craving for dick.
