Comfy flannel PJ pants, warm socks, Netflix rigged up to play through the TV, coffee... not a bad morning. It's almost enough to make up for the DEATH CRAMPS OF DOOOOOOOM.
Last night was good. We had a ton of adorable little kidlets (and a handful of teens) show up for candy. We went through three bags. The kids thought we were pretty cool, as they could see the laptop hooked up to the TV. "Whoa!" they said. "Is that a computer? Are you gamers?!"
So we had an idea.

SHIELD logo! That way if a kid asked about it again we could look a little nervous, lean in, and whisper, "We're undercover SHIELD agents. We can trust you with our secret mission, right?" - that sort of thing.
Unfortunately we didn't think of this until fairly late in the evening, around 8:30, so the very small number of kids who showed up after didn't ask. Boo. The doorbell stopped ringing around 9 (suburbia's bedtime) and we put on Hocus Pocus and enjoyed the rest of our quiet evening. After the movie I cut Will's hair for him and went to bed.
Will's at work now and straight from there he's heading out of town to LARP so I'll see him Sunday evening. I hope he has fun (the lady he's crushing on is coming with him - she's really cool so I hope she enjoys herself too, the LARP sounds really awesome and it's something even I might eventually check out, as they have non-combatant roles)
Monday we get internet.
Hopefully soon we also get a COUCH! And a chair! And endtables!
Tonight though, I hope my uterus calms its shit down and I can go out and hang with friends. It's a Halloween-ish party but also with an "alcoholic foods" theme. So I have a fun and easy bourbon-based food idea. Requires a shopping trip but not for much.
Okay. Now to get some doodling done. :)

Date: 2013-11-01 06:59 pm (UTC)A friend was moving to another country about the same time Lili was needing to move into a ground floor abode. I collected up some nice furniture for her and she didn't.
So it's sitting in my large garage. Want any pics? We now have a truck and can bring it over. It's very sturdy.
I also have a vanity dresser with a mirror. About waist high but the mirror is pretty tall.
