I think today's appointment actually went well. Hard to tell, since I know a lot of this is going to be VA politics and nonsense and I do still plan on getting a hold of the DAV whenever possible, because more help never hurt. But the doctor I saw today was very open to listening, examined me well enough that he very much saw how much pain I was in (he had me walk a while on my toes, then my heels - FUCKING OW) and he actually noticed the same thing my chiropractor used to say - that my left hip is amazingly messed up. Which has always been odd to me because while I do feel pain in that hip, the right is usually much worse.
So, that was all right I think. Painful but hopefully very much worth it.
Tonight should be interesting.
Next VA appointment is not comp/pen but therapy on Friday. Which is good, I've been looking forward to sitting and talking with her and expressing how rough the anxiety has been (which, yes, some of it is lifted after knocking out those two appointments)
Random frustrating cripple thing: not being able to take as thorough of a shower at one time that I want, because I'm standing entirely too long in there and ow. I never get to shave my legs anymore. :\ lol

Date: 2010-11-17 11:09 pm (UTC)I have horrible costochondritis (inflammation of connective tissue) in my back and feet. If I don't have ibuprofin in my system, I can only stand for short periods of time without intense pain. :-\
Here's a fairly decent one, low price: http://www.amazon.com/Medline-MDS89745R-Shower-Chair/dp/B0007YX29A
