shingaSickness update!
I'm feeling significantly better. Woke up with a sore throat but it wasn't nearly as bad as it was last week. No "did I just swallow a fucking porcupine? ... five times?" bad. It went away as the day went on. My ears are still full. Or rather, ear. The left seems fine. The doctor recommended the "hold your nose and blow" tactic and that did fine for the left ear but the right absolutely refuses to budge. So every goddamn noise is not only amplified as fuck in that ear making the littlest things painful to hear (ie Azrael's squeaky meows) and I can't fucking tell where they are. My right ear has no depth perception. Tempted to get a q-tip, dip it in rubbing alcohol, and very carefully work my right ear with it and see if that doesn't help.
Right now I have an earplug in my right ear to help deafen things around me a bit.
Whee.
Sniffly, still a few coughs left in me.
But otherwise I'm a million times better than I was Thursday and Friday. I have a voice again! I'm not pushing it (ie playing Rock Band, like Istupidly drunkenly c. all of the above did Wednesday night)
Been sleeping a lot, and popping pills like an addict.
Progress, progress.
Skipping karaoke tonight despite desperately wanting to go, since it's a special night for a friend as she is getting married Saturday and had no bachelorette plans at all. I suggested a karaoke night and then WHAM I got sick so... crap. :( I'll have to make it up to her.
Instead I'll probably call it an early night and hopefully sleep the rest of this funk off.
